Solving conflicts through intercultural mediation is an option for groups and teams of two people or more.With the spread of globalisation, more and more teams are developing which operate across borders. An increas in internationality and diversity can, on the one hand be enriching, and. on the other hand, can lead to problems in working together, without the causes being immediately recognisable. Cultural identity leaves a strong impression on customs, language, language, atttitudes to time, hierarchy and decision-making
Intercultural mediation can help to solve problems in organisations where people from different cultural backgrounds work together. If your team is a mutlicultural team, conflict behaviour can develop. Own feelings of identity lead to specific needs, perceptions and points of view, which the team members do not share.
If a multicultural team works together, it cannot always be assumed that there is a common level of communication as the cultures are so different. If these problems are not solved, the team performance and consequently the productivity will suffer
